2016 Fight Club Frenzy

Not skipping a beat after getting back to campus on Tuesday, the team competed at the 2nd Annual Fight Club Frenzy this past Saturday here in Milwaukee. The weekend went well with several rowers medaling in their respective events. The day started with the Novice Lightweight Women, where Erin Zinkula '19 placed second. The Novice Open Women race also went well for Marquette, with Allie Kazalski '19 and Maddy Philipp '19 placing second and third respectively, with both girls putting up sub eight minute times. The Novice Men were the next to go with Alec Hagmann '17 placing second in his race against both MSOE’s and Milwaukee Junior's Lightweight Men. After the Novice Men climbed off the ergs,  the Lightweight Varsity rowers got their shot. Bridget Moffett '17 took second overall and Lucas Henk '17 took first in his heat and seventh overall. Following them were the Varsity Women, where Sarah Reis '17 ran away with the competition putting up a staggering 7:28.5 piece. All rowers raced there hardest against our friendly rivals from across the city, and Marquette Crew was able to come away with several medals. We are very excited to have a good showing to build off of the rest of the season!
