Exciting Changes for Marquette Crew

MILWAUKEE, WI - From Coach Megan Prochniak -
"I'm writing this morning to share some exciting news about our upcoming season. The opportunity to move out of the Milwaukee Rowing Club, to a location of our own where we will have more autonomy and will be able to continue to grow the team, presented itself this summer. While we've enjoyed our time at MRC and value the expertise and friendships we've gained from it's members, we're taking a step out so that our club can keep moving forward. We've grown back to a club with 16 Varsity Men and 22 Varsity Women, and anticipate ending up with 60+ total members once the Novice sign on. These numbers, and the support we have from Marquette, alumni, family, and friends, gave us the financial freedom to take this step. We'll be located a half mile off of campus, closer and with a safer path to get to than MRC, on a channel along the Menomonee River at a gated storage facility (EZ Storage) that has: outdoor space for us to store our boats, indoor space for us to lock up smaller equipment, and a dock that we can use to launch our boats. We view this facility as temporary home while we look for a permanent one over the next few years, and already had a few leads present themselves.
In the meantime, we are going to build, and are looking for your support and help. We're acquiring boats over the next week that we'll be buying, leasing, or renting, and intend on renting racing shells at some regattas. We'll also put up a temporary structure to cover and secure our boats. The areas where we'll need help are with smaller items, and of course, any donation will always be appreciated (be it time, monetary, or in spirit). If you wish to help with a monetary donation, please see our wish list below, and the following instructions. Please also send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. Finally, if you know of an alumni or supporter that was left off of this list, please feel free to forward it on. The more the merrier on this journey!
